Itinerary
We followed the model of the 2000 trip and headed back to the Great Lakes area, this time using Cleveland as a hub. Once again, Mike and Lumpy would make the drive from the northeast while Ed flew from the west coast. This was the first expansion year for us as Cooter, a fraternity brother from college joined us. He was living in the Columbus, OH area at the time. We also took advantage of another buddy, Pyle who lived outside Cleveland so we all met at his place to start the trip.
Day 1: Meet at Pyle's house, check out "The Flats" in Cleveland. Stay the night in Cleveland.
Day 2: Drive down to Cincinnati for a day game, drive back to Cleveland to spend the night.
Day 3: Tour Cleveland, see the Tribe at night, stay in Cleveland.
Day 4: Drive to Toronto for the Jays night game (see:Getting Ueckered), spend the night in Toronto.
Day 5: Drive to Detroit for the Tigers day game, head back to Cleveland for the night.
