Itinerary

2006 would present a unique challenge: find a way to get to both Missouri teams and both Texas teams, and figure out what to do about the new stadiums in Milwaukee and Cincinnati. the original plan of BPRT was to simply see every team play at home, ignoring the building of new stadiums. But since we were able to revisit Philly, we decided to take on the crusade of getting to Miller Park and Great American Ballpark. This would be and epic trip and we formulated a 7 game schedule but that included a day off in St. Louis with no nearby team playing that day. What would we do with a baseball free day? Joey came up with a stroke of genius and realized that Omaha, NE was within reach and our day off was during the College World Series. Rosenblatt Stadium, here we come!

We also had another buddy from college, Chuck who lived outside Chicago so we used that as our base to meet up and were able to plan a return to Wrigley into the schedule.

Day 1: Fly into Chicago, spend the night at Chuck's ranch.

Day 2: head into Chicago, see the Cubs day game, hit the bars in Wrigleyvill at night, crash back at Chuck's.

Day 3: Drive up to Milwaukee for a night game, go out to the bars in downtown Milwaukee after the game, stay at a hotel in Milwaukee.

Day 4: Drive to Cincinatti for a 4:00 game. Visit the bars across the bridge in Kentucky and stay at a hotel in Newport.

Day 5: Early rise to make the day game in St. Louis, spend the night with Lumpy's friends Nicole and Josh who live outside St. Louis.

Day 6: Drive to Omaha, NE for the CWS. We thought about making 2 games but the 1:00PM would be much too early so we'll make the 6:00P.M. game which ended up being Rice vs. Miami. Spend the night in Council Bulffs, IA right next to Binion's Horseshoe.

Day 7: After staying at the casino most of the night, leisurely drive down to Kansas City for the Royals night game, spend the night at Harrah's KC. See a pattern here?

Day 8: Long haul through lots of corn fields to Arlington, TX for the Rangers night game, stay in a nearby hotel.

Day 9: Make our way down to our friend Jared's place in Houston for the Astros night game, "Return of the Rocket"

Day 10: Fly out of Houston, half of us ended up at Intercontinental, half at Hobby. Jared helped with getting us to our flights.
